POLYMAT (EROSION PROTECTION)
Polymat
a
three-dimensional fiber mat that allows plant roots to
penetrate the mat into subsoil.
Polymat binds the individual
plants into a single mass. The vegetated polymat has a
substantially greater resistance to dislodgement by erosive
river flow than non-reinforced vegetation.
